BECOME A LINCOLNSHIRE SKILLS CHAMPION!

Lincolnshire County Council is proud to offer the opportunity for community groups and local businesses (with five or more employees or volunteers) the chance to apply for a £1,000 grant from its UK Shared Prosperity Fund and become a Lincolnshire Skills Champion.

Champions are focused on improving confidence in everyday skills through a range of innovative activities and recognise that delivery in the community is key to improving adult skills.

This Skills Champion programme will focus on the three Essential Skills of Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills for employees or individuals in the local community and improve access to, and increase participation in Adult Learning in Lincolnshire.

How can a Lincolnshire Skills Champion make use of the £1,000 grant?

Understand, encourage and promote literacy, numeracy and digital skills (Essential Skills) development within the workforce or local community

Enhance digital access and skills, ensuring more people can confidently use technology and progress into formal digital skills training.

Provide support for individuals in developing Essential Skills and encouraging progression into accredited courses by working with Adult Learning providers

If your organisation recognises the importance of Adult Essential Skills and how they relate to everyday life, why not find out more about
