Winners announced at annual Select Lincolnshire awards

The winners of the 2019 Select Lincolnshire awards have been announced at an awards ceremony held at Lincoln Minster School on Thursday 19th September. Salted Orange Food Company, The Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company, Grange Farm Park and The Red Lion, Digby were just some of the businesses to take home top prizes at the annual food, drink and hospitality awards. Organised and hosted by Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and Select Lincolnshire, guests were entertained by the person behind the Coca-Cola ‘Share a Coke’ campaign, Richard Askam and gained valuable insights into Lincolnshire produce from a talk by The Lincolnshire Chef, Steven Bennett. Guests were treated to a lavish five course meal, all expertly created by the catering team at Lincoln Minster School, with ingredients being supplied by local members of Select Lincolnshire, including; Fosters Butchers, The Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company, Scaman’s Eggs, Lymn Bank Farm Cheese Company and Lincolnshire Brewing Company. The winners on the night were: Salted Orange Food Company won Caterer of the Year Four people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 Lincoln Minster School won Education/Teaching Establishment of the Year Three people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 The Lincoln Hotel won Hotel of the Year Four people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 The Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company won Producer/Grower of the Year (sponsored by The Lincoln Hotel) Six people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 The Red Lion, Digby won Pub of the Year (sponsored by Lincolnshire Brewing Company) Five people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 Harrisons Restaurant @ The George Inn won Restaurant of the Year Three men in black tie holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 Graham Fidling Traditional Butchers won Retailer of the Year Four people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 Grange Farm Park won Self-Catering Establishment of the Year Four people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 Pepper Pot Tea Room, Hall Farm Park won Tea Room of the Year Six people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 The Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company won Wholesaler of the Year Six people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 The Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company won overall Business of the Year Six people in black tie and evening gowns holding a trophy and certificate at the Select Lincolnshire Awards 2019 Treetops Cottages & Spa, Lymn Bank Farm Cheese Company and Bottomley Distillers all received highly commended. Treetops Cottages & Spa - Highly Commended Self Catering Establishment of the Year A woman in an orange evening gown and man in black tie hold a Highly Commended certificate Lymn Bank Farm Cheese Company - Highly Commended Wholesaler of the Year A young woman in evening gown and man in black tie hold a Highly Commended certificate Bottomley Distillers - Highly Commended Producer Grower of the Year A woman in evening gown and man in black tie hold a Highly Commended certificate Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive at Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the awards, saying: “Congratulations to all the winners, highly commended and finalists of the 2019 Select Lincolnshire awards. “We are so proud to champion the brand of Select Lincolnshire and have such high-quality businesses alongside us doing such fantastic work in the food, drink and hospitality industry. “Our aim is to continue to strengthen the brand across Lincolnshire, as it’s safe to say that when it comes to food, drink and hospitality, what we have here in the county is very special and we want Select Lincolnshire to play a prominent role in showcasing the very best.”
