Shooting Star in Line for Prestigious PRide Awards

One of the East Midlands’ leading PR, marketing and digital agencies has been nominated for two Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide awards.

Shooting Star is shortlisted in the Arts, Culture or Sport and Low Budget Campaign categories in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region for its continued work with motorsports team JG Speedfit Kawasaki and on the national Our Health Heroes Awards respectively.

The agency – which has offices in Lincoln and Newark – has been a contender for at least one CIPR PRide award every year since 2010 and it already boasts four as a result.

Kate Strawson, Director at Shooting Star, commented: “It’s a great feeling to be in the running again for not just one but two industry awards – especially considering this means we’ve now been shortlisted for four this year already!

“It’s a testament to the hard work of our team, which is growing so healthily that we’ve welcomed three new members of staff in the last eight months – taking us from eight to 11.

“We also opened a second office in Newark earlier this year and we’re continuing to strengthen our marketing and digital service offerings so it’s great that we’re being recognised for that among our peers.”

Shooting Star generated such impressive results for the JG Speedfit Kawasaki and Our Health Heroes Awards teams that the agency has been retained by both for a third and second consecutive year.

Sharon Foster, Senior Marketing Manager at Shooting Star, added: “It’s been a busy but exciting year for our agency; we’ve made some more significant headway in the marketing and digital sectors and we’re already making plans for 2020.

“If we’re lucky enough to win an award or two in November then we’ll be over the moon!”

Representatives from Shooting Star will attend the 2019 CIPR PRide Awards ceremony at The Queens in Leeds on Thursday 21st November.
