A past winner at the Lincolnshire Live Business Awards say the prestigious accolade has helped boost trade as the closing date for entries draws near.

The awards are now in their 16th year and aim to highlight the best businesses our fine county has to offer.

Gongs will be handed out to apprentices and employees, as well businesses ranging from small family-run operations to larger companies that trade around the world.

All the winners are then put forward for the prestigious Business of the Year Overall Winner award, which is given to the business that our team of dedicated judges feel is the most deserving.

Time is running out for people to nominate those who they are think should be recognised with the September 1 closing date for entries fast-approaching.

Bradley McKenny, operations director at Distract Ltd, said winning the Digital Campaign of the Year Award was a big moment for the firm.

He says the award, which is being sponsored by Ellgia this year, gave the business ample evidence of their quality that could be shown to clients.

Mr McKenny said: “Winning the Digital Campaign of the Year award was a great achievement for us.

“We're always proud of the campaigns we run and it's great to be recognised for them.

“We've been able to show off our Digital Campaign of the Year award to clients and prospects as well as promote it in our marketing.

“We look forward to taking part in the awards again this year.”

The Small Business of the Year award, which is sponsored by VisionDrive, will also be given out on the night, after it was split from the Medium Business of the Year award.

Both of the awards will shine a spotlight on businesses who have helped bring millions into the local economy.

The Employee of the Year award, which is sponsored by Barbon Insurance Group, will recognise a worker who has made a significant contribution to the company they work for.

Upon winning the award last year while working at The Secret Garden Tearooms (Welton), Michelle Wilkinson said: “It feels amazing to have won I am absolutely shocked – just to be nominated was a big surprise.”

Winners will then be invited to an awards ceremony on Thursday, October 17, where the awards will be handed out.

This year there will be a new host for the event, magician and comedian Ben Hanlin.

Ben is a British magician, television presenter and radio presenter and is best known for presenting the ITV 2 series Tricked since 2013.
