Financial Mastery for Entrepreneurs: Navigating the Numbers for Success

This special event hosted by Entrepreneurs Connect aims to showcase the crucial role of financial forecasting in driving business growth, attracting investment and securing the future of your start-up or scale-up.

Headlining the session will be special guest speaker and social entrepreneur Joana Baptista, a 22 year old founder of three start-ups, tech podcast and economic magazine. She has been an entrepreneur since the age of 12, winning funding from O2 Think Big and EU-funded University initiatives, as well as starting her own code club at age 13 with Barclays Bank. Joana is the youngest ever recipient of the Women of the Future Young Star Award as well as winner of a number of other awards including the WeAreTheCity Rising Star Entrepreneur & Startups Award and Women in Tech Most Promising Junior. Joana will be sharing her own personal experience of starting her own business and how financial forecasting and budgeting has helped her with growth and sustainability.

This session will also bring together seasoned entrepreneurs, banking, finance and accounting professionals for an insightful panel discussion aimed at helping budding, early years and more established entrepreneurs master finance and get to grips with numbers for business success. The panel will include Neal Everett (CEO Colleague Box), Joanne Lee (Head of SME Central Region Barclays), Benedict Heaver (Managing Director, Streets Heaver Healthcare Computing), Laura Mallaburn (Head of Business Support & Angel Network Manager, Lincoln Science & Innovation Park), Robin Lee (Streets Chartered Accountants), Dr. Hao Quach (Professor of Banking and Finance at University of Lincoln)
