Bike or Hike 2024

Join us this year for our very first Bike or Hike fundraiser. Our event offers fitness enthusiasts, supporters and their families alike the opportunity to enjoy a day of outdoor adventure. Don’t miss out on being part of this fantastic event – Sponsored by Clarke Group Construction.

Choose to bike or hike one of three exciting routes, all starting and finishing at the Butterfly Hospice, providing a convenient and central location for everyone to gather and celebrate their accomplishments.

Let’s take a closer look at the routes and distances:

Bike

1. Route 1 – Antons Gowt (Return): Covering a total distance of 8 miles, this route offers a perfect introduction for families and novice cyclists. Enjoy a leisurely ride to Antons Gowt and back, taking in the scenic landscapes along the way.
2. Route 2 – Tattershall Bridge (Return): If you’re up for a more challenging adventure, our 28-mile route to Tattershall Bridge and back is just the ticket. Suitable for intermediate cyclists, this picturesque journey will showcase the stunning countryside and provide a satisfying sense of achievement upon completion.
3. Route 3 – Lincoln (Return): For experienced cyclists seeking an exhilarating challenge, our 68-mile route to Lincoln and back promises an unforgettable ride. Push your limits as you navigate through diverse landscapes and revel in the sense of accomplishment when you conquer this impressive distance.

To make participation accessible to all, we offer various ticket options.

Adult tickets are priced at £10 for the 8-mile route, £20 for the 28-mile route, and £25 for the 68-mile route.

Children aged 14 or under can join at a reduced rate of £5, £10 and £15 respectively. Please note that children must be accompanied by a cyclist aged 18 or above, for the duration of the event.

Hike

Our hiking routes will see you walk either 2, 4 or 10 miles embracing all that nature has to offer with laps around Dion’s Wood Nature Reserve.

Participation in our hiking challenge will cost £5 per person, regardless of the distance. Please note, no dogs are permitted in Dion’s Wood Nature Reserve.

But wait, there’s more! We encourage our participants to fundraise for The Butterfly Hospice Trust by seeking sponsorship for their participation in either their bike or hike challenge. By pledging to raise a minimum of £150, you can secure free entry regardless of distance and earn yourself a FREE t-shirt to wear during your training and the event.

Every pound you raise will go directly towards supporting the hospice’s invaluable work in providing compassionate care to those in need.
