Invitation to Tender

Greater Lincoln Partnership (GLP) is the investment partnership for the City Of Lincoln, North Kesteven and West Lindsey area supported by Lincolnshire County Council and other partners whose aim is to attract both inward and indigenous business investment.

GLP wishes to appoint a consultant to undertake a number of key roles as part of the existing team, focused on; Developing and implementing an aftercare programme; Developing and implementing a new broader intermediaries programme; and Facilitating the development of a new 5-year investment strategy.

The appointment will initially be for a six-month period with an extension of up to 18 months on successful achievement of targets and performance. Carbon Trust Energy Efficiency Loans Scheme

The Carbon Trust is offering a lifeline to small businesses in the recession by expanding their energy efficiency loans scheme, which will enable SMB’s to take advantage of more than £100m in interest-free, unsecured loans. The minimum loan amount has been lowered to just £3,000, putting the loans within reach of micro-businesses, whilst the upper limit has been doubled from £200,000 to £400,000 to meet the needs of small and medium businesses with high energy spends, such as manufacturing companies. The aim of the loans scheme is to help companies reduce their carbon emissions and save money through the introduction of energy efficient technologies from lighting to specialist manufacturing machinery.
