Excellent Feedback for our Networking Event

On the 24th and 25th of March 2010 the Lincolnshire Chamber hosted a different kind of Networking Event, and were delighted to be invited to host the event at Double Red Studios based in North Hykeham. Double Red offer a whole range of services such as printing, graphic design and photography but also boast a unique drive-in studio which allowed Formula One Racer to also sponsor and showcase their Formula One Simulator.

Each delegate had the opportunity to participate in a timed lap challenge on the Simulator, and the winners were Paul Bingham of Systematic on 24th March and David Speed on 25th March. Over a buffet lunch provided by Craig Gollin Catering, delegates were able to network and discuss their products and services whilst enjoying watching others in the simulator.

Also attending our event were John McGuiness, the Isle of Man TT Winner 2009, along with Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Garry Mason, Superbike Champion who presented David Speed with his bottle of Champagne.

The Lincolnshire Chamber has been pleased to have the opportunity to work with both Double Red and Formula One Racer, and feedback has shown that our members enjoy a different kind of Networking Event, and it proved to be very successful.

Attracting Website Visitors through PPC Marketing

Free Breakfast Briefing

14th April 2010, 8.30am - 10.30am

Many businesses are prepared to pay to attract new visitors to their website in order to generate urgently needed leads or sales.  This may be because they have a new website or their existing site is built using technology that cannot be indexed by the search engines.
Most companies are familiar with the Sponsored Ads that are displayed at the top or the right of most of the search engines which are known as pay per click or PPC ads. This session provides an overview of how pay per click ads work, the range of places where ads can be displayed and useful tips on how to get the most from your budget. If you need to generate new potential customers to your website then this briefing is for you. Please click here to book your place, or call 0845 6038370.

Schools Take Part in Sport Relief Mile Together

Students from both Yarborough and St Francis Special School today took part in the Sport Relief mile around the running track at Yarborough School. Yarborough School students assisted their fellow students in wheelchairs whilst able bodied students from St Francis walked the mile. After the mile was completed a party was held at Yarborough School which included a buffet and music.

The event was organised by Year 13 students at Yarborough as part of their business Studies project and had to be student led with minimum input from their teacher. Fran Weaver, senior TA at St Francis School said, “The rapport between St Francis and Yarborough students has been fantastic and could not have been better. The interaction between both schools was amazing."

A number of students from St Francis were also keen to speak about the day, commenting how they really enjoyed the event and it was a good change to come out of school and do something different. Danielle Priestly, a year 13 student at Yarborough School added, “We’ve all really enjoyed the event today. Everyone had a different role to play with the organisation of the project and we found it pretty easy to work together."

The two schools got on so well together St Francis have invited Yarborough students to their school as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award where they have to plan a meal and entertain their guests.
