Entrepreneurial graduates are being encouraged to visit one of the two Flying Start: Make it Happen events that are taking place in the East Midlands. These events provide information about starting up in business. Graduates can receive 12 months support to help them become self-employed, through the Flying Start: Make it Happen programme, which has been set up by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, with emda's assistance. The next event is taking place on Thursday 3rd December at the Engine Shed, Lincoln. For more details and to register, click here.
emda has launched a project to identify businesses in the low carbon environmental goods and services sector (LCEGS). Building a database of LCEGS businesses will help emda gain a detailed understanding of the environmental businesses in the region, and how these operate and can be supported to grow and develop. If you would like to volunteer your business for inclusion in the database, please contact Emma Buckman on 0845 644 5425 or
