Support for businesses in tough times. Hard-hitting events, with real experts, delivering real solutions to real problems.

 

emda will be hosting a series of business support events, one in each county of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, to showcase the products and support that are available to businesses in the region.

The five events will each follow the same format and feature four master-classes that will offer practical advice from legal and financial experts. Dates of events are as follows:

Helping Business Respond to Climate Change


A programme has been launched which is designed to help regional businesses capitalise on opportunities and reduce the risks associated with climate change. The Climate Resilience Programme (CRP), funded by emda will offer a range of services to participating businesses.
A series of free workshops are taking place for business people involved in different sectors. These are:

  • Construction: 28th November, Northampton Saints Rugby Club
  • Manufacturing: 1st December, Derby County Football Club, Pride Park
  • Food and Drink: 3rd December, Highpoint Conference Centre, Leicester
  • Agriculture: 8th December, EPIC Centre, Lincolnshire  
  • Energy and Utilities: 10th December, National Watersports Centre, Nottingham

Go to EXPO for a Greener Life

 

Organisations from across the East Midlands will show how you can live the green life at this month’s EXPO, a major environmental showcase on 19th November.
 
The emda supported event will take place at Lincoln’s new EPIC Centre, part of Lincolnshire Events Centre. It will include exhibitors from a wide range of businesses organisations showcasing energy efficient goods and services – they include developers, councils and universities.

Live Jazz at The Terrace in Cafe Portico

 

Come along and enjoy a Jazz Evening with a live Jazz Trio featuring Pete Barnaby and Colin Dudman on Friday 21st November 2008 from 8 to 11 pm.
