Real Help for Businesses Now

The government has launched a public information campaign, "Real Help for Businesses Now", following the launch on the 14th January of the government's SME finance package. The campaign brings together, in one place, information about government help for businesses during the recession and how to access this - including business health checks, free training, HMRC help with delaying tax payments and loan guarantees. Free Will Making Fortnight

 

A leading Lincolnshire law firm has extended its offer of free will making to couples as well as single people. Bridge McFarland Solicitors is offering people the chance to make or renew their wills completely free of charge during "Free Wills Fortnight" over the next two weeks (February 16th - February 27th). Clients who make use of the service will be invited to make donations to local charities if they wish. Click here for more information.

Daffodil Appeal

 

Hugh Grant is calling for people to volunteer for Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal. He is asking anyone who has a couple of hours to spare to turn these into Marie Curie Nursing hours by taking to the UK’s streets to collect for the charity. 18,000 collectors are needed to man the thousands of collection points across the country.

 

Each March, the charity encourages everyone in the UK to give a donation in return for a daffodil to wear in support of Marie Curie Nurses. All money raised will help Marie Curie Cancer Care provide nursing care for people with a terminal illness at home, surrounded by family and friends. Marie Curie Cancer Care’s services are free to patients, their families and carers but the charity can only provide these with your support.

 Lincolnshire Chamber Networking Lunch

 

The March Networking Lunch will be taking place at the Old Barn in Grantham, on the 19th of March from 12.00pm - 2.00pm. This event is sponsored by the Learning and Skills Council. Environmental Technology Centre

 

The Environmental Technology Centre, funded by emda and ERDF, is holding a free breakfast seminar aimed at businesses in the East Midlands. The event will showcase support programmes available to businesses through The University of Nottingham.
