Non-Executive Directors Wanted

The Lincolnshire Home Improvement Agency is looking for two Non-Executive Directors to enhance the current board and be part of the continued development of their services throughout the county. You will contribute to the decision and policy making process and be part of specialist sub-groups. We are especially looking for people with excellent experience and expertise within the areas of Property Management/Maintenance and Human Resources.

We are a not-for-profit organisation and hold charitable status.

Currently, the board meet six times per year with the various sub-groups meeting on a similar basis. Lincolnshire and Rutland Work Based Learning Awards 2009

Congratulations to the Gelder Group who won the Large Employer of the Year Award – Apprenticeships at the Lincolnshire and Rutland Work Based Learning Awards 2009. The construction business Gelder Group has more than 20 apprentices in its 274-strong workforce, and has helped 25 e2e (Entry to Employment) learners in the past year. Michael Johnson, Gelder Group Training Manager, said the firm had continued to invest in training, despite the recession. “We believe that apprentices are the lifeline to our company’s future growth.” Gelder Group attracts more than 300 applications each year for work placements and Apprenticeships. Rachel May, director of employer engagement at Lincoln College, praised Gelder Group’s vision: “They have had the foresight to look ahead and qualify their employees to ensure that they have the appropriate skills for the future, to support the local and regional economy.”
