The Lincolnshire Chamber’s initiative aimed at getting things happening for business in the county has taken the region by storm. Lincoln had over 50 exhibitors at the Epic Centre, Lincoln held on 25th March with over 250 delegates attending for what turned out to be a hugely successful event. Alongside "Meet the Buyer" activities, networking was a key element of the day with an informal lunch for businesses to take advantage of browsing the stalls or attending relevant breakout sessions.  Lincolnshire’s Chartered Institute of Marketing has a New President

The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s East Midlands region earlier this year decided to create a Lincolnshire group to provide events, networking and support for its 600 members living in the area as well as non-members with an interest in marketing. So far the three events held at the University of Lincoln since the beginning of this year have attracted an excellent attendance and the group is flourishing.

James Pinchbeck MCIM is the marketing director of Streets Chartered Accountants, and is responsible for the marketing and development of the practice, which comprises nine offices. It is currently ranked 40th in the UK, with 200 staff and 20 partners. James is based at Streets’ head office in Lincoln on Lucy Tower Street.

James explains why he decided to accept the role, one which he is honoured to take on. “I am keen for the marketing profession to gain greater recognition in the county. I am also looking forward to contributing towards the events programme in suggesting speakers and topics as I feel continual professional development is vital for those already working in the marketing industry, and I would like to see business owners and managers share our expertise benefiting their businesses.” In addition, James hopes to share his own experiences and expertise and pass on encouragement to marketing students and those in the early stages of their career.
