Lincoln Golf Club was founded in Lincoln City in 1891 and moved to its present site at Torksey, near Lincoln, in 1903. The course was originally designed by J H Taylor, and with its mature trees, easy walking fairways and just a touch of water offers a true test of golf to members and visitors alike, and is a delight to play. The course has been played by many famous golfers and Mark James, of Ryder Cup fame, achieved a course record of 65 whilst playing in the Lincolnshire Open.

The day will start with hot bacon rolls and tea/coffee followed by a practise before teeing off. At the halfway house, you can stop and enjoy refreshments before playing down the back 9. Once you and your team have finished your round, you will be able to enjoy a two course meal followed by the prize giving, commencing at around 6.00pm.

Lincolnshire Chamber members will have the option to sponsor a hole to enable more money to be raised for charity, and give you another chance to promote your business. Prizes will be presented at the end of the day and include “Longest Drive”, “Nearest the Pin”, “Closest to the Line”, and “Winners’ Trophy”. The Winners’ Trophy is currently held by the Lindum Group Plc, and it could be your team taking it away this year. If you are playing on your own, or cannot make up a team of four, please let us know because we will take your name and try to make up teams where we can.
